Tate:
A Poetic Response to Kara Walker

as Director / Producer

Kara Walker’s Fons Americanus arrived at Tate Modern in 2019. As a powerful work on the Transatlantic slave trade, it became paramount to offer audiences different entry points to what its themes.

Bridget Minamore crafted a poetic response to the piece, which we filmed alongside a BSL interpreter. We filmed with both landscape and portrait frames in mind, so the content could go out on YouTube and IGTV.
